Hey! I'm Mandie!
I'm Mandie! I'm a hopeless romantic, an old soul, and a 3rd culture kid who's been obsessed with photography since I was about 7 years old. I'm married to my college sweetheart, Zachary, and we've been inseparable ever since we first met during orientation week our freshman year of college! Everything that I do in life is for my family! And I absolutely love what I do!
I also love good books, dark chocolate, red wine, foggy days, and exploring our beautiful State of Michigan. When I'm not photographing or filming weddings, you'll probably find me at home snuggling on the couch with my pups, binge-watching Netflix, or planning my next travel adventure with a cup of coffee in hand. That, or a cup of tea (with a shot of Irish Honey Whiskey, of course).
My photography style is rooted in film (you know, like old-school film that you loaded into your camera and got developed afterwards). I do shoot some film, but mostly it means that my work is bright, true-to-life, and timeless! I don't want someone to be able to look at your images 10 years later and say "Oh! I know exactly what year those were taken in!" because of what type of images were "in style" at that time. Your wedding images will still be classic in 10, 20, and even 50+ years!
Style aside, the most important part of having me as your photographer and having my video team is the experience, the fun, and the results that every #ForbesCouple feels when they look back through their photographs and wedding films.

Up to an hour for your engagement portrait session. Here is where we will create some gorgeous images for your save-the-dates, invites, website registry, guest book, and of course your Facebook & Instagram for your friends and family to "ooh and aww" over. You'll receive 50-100 high-resolution photographs from this session.
Adding a third shooter gives you more coverage during the getting ready portion of your day, it also allows for multiple angles of all of your important moments from your wedding day and allows one photographer to focus on guest and loved one's reactions during key moments like your ceremony, toasts, and special dances, etc.

Q: HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN A PHOTOGRAPHER?
A: I've been obsessed with photography since I was about 7 years old, but I first became interested in it as a career in 10th grade. That's when I fell in love with documenting moments and life's stories. I kept learning throughout college as I studied and traveled around the world. But it wasn't until I got married myself in 2016 that I decided I wanted to take it on as a full-time career. I shot my first wedding for my business in the fall of 2016.
Q: HOW MANY WEDDINGS do you book a year?
A: Personally, I only take about 25 weddings each year so that I can make sure I give each and every of my couples an amazing experience.
Q: DO I NEED A SECOND PHOTOGRAPHER?
A: Do you absolutely need a second photographer? Technically no, however having a second photographer allows for more focus on guests reactions during key moments like your ceremony, toasts, and special dances, etc. It's also helpful if you have a really large wedding venue that would be difficult to move between two areas quickly or if you and your significant other are getting ready in separate locations. Plus is always good to have a backup!
Q: DO I NEED AN ENGAGEMENT SESSION?
A: I highly recommend one! A lot of couples that also book an engagement session use their photographs for their save-the-dates, invitations, website registries, guest books, framed prints for their guest table, bar, and their house... and of course Facebook & Instagram! Plus, it's a way for you to get a little practice in front of the camera and get comfortable before your big day and it gives us an opportunity to get to know each other! The more comfortable you are with me and the more familiar you are with the way I work, the better your images turn out :)
Q: When should i book you?
A: Prime wedding dates tend to book out for me between 9-12 months ahead of time, so I recommend booking as soon as you have your wedding date set in stone to insure that I'm available on your date.
Q: DO YOU OFFER ANY ALBUMS, PRINTS, CANVASES, GUEST BOOKS, ETC?
A: Totally! But I want you feeling 1,000% comfortable and excited about the quality of your photographs before placing orders on those. That way, you only order exactly what you want, when you want, and when you know with confidence that they are going to look amazing on your walls and in your fine art heirloom albums. And all of this is done & ordered right through your online gallery!
Q: DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?
A: Yes, I do! Traditional payments are 50% due at the time of booking and the final 50% is due 30 days prior to your wedding day. But, if you wanted to do the payment plan, I can stretch it into equal 1/3's or 1/4's if that works best for you. Just let me know what you prefer, and I will make it happen. It's that easy.
Q: HOW DO I BOOK YOU FOR MY WEDDING DAY?
A: Love that question the most! Your wedding date is officially booked after you pay your initial retainer & sign your contract. To book me for your special day, simply let me know what Signature Collection you'd like to book or if you prefer to build a package A-La-Carte simply let me know what you want included in your custom collection: (Number of hours of coverage, engagement session, second photographer or none, and what payment plan option works best for you).

Q: How many images will we receive?
A: I average 60-100 images per hour that I'm shooting. I love delivering my client’s files quickly and easily via an online gallery. You will have the ability to print, share and download your images as much as you want!
Q: Do You Travel?
A: Yes! I grew up traveling all over the world and have continued to travel as an adult! I'm fluent in Spanish if you want to get married in a Spanish-speaking country, but honestly, I'm down to go anywhere! I'm absolutely in love with Paris and all of France. Scotland and Ireland are some of the most magical places on the planet, and I'd go back in a heartbeat anytime! Elopement on the Isle of Skye, anyone? Pick a destination! I'm your girl!
Q: Are you Licensed and insured?
A: Absolutely! I'm a registered LLC business with the State of Michigan and am fully insured!
Q: How long does it take to get photos back?
A: Wedding galleries are delivered in 8 weeks or less. Portrait and engagement galleries are delivered in 4 weeks or less. I know how hard it is to wait for your pictures after your engagement session and wedding day, so I'm always working hard to get the final, edited images back to you as quickly as possible!

A: I do offer drone footage! Drone footage is included for all my weddings *if possible*. I always try to get some drone footage for your Highlight Film: * if we have time during your wedding day, *if the weather cooperates, and *if it's legal (aka...your wedding/reception location isn't located in a Federal No-Fly Zone).

And when booking me and my team for your wedding photography and videography, I feel that quality should be equally as paramount as the experience when working together. I want you to be smiling, laughing, and feeling at ease throughout the entire process. I want you to trust in me 100%, and I want us to be friends. I'll be celebrating with you every step of the way.
The experience is so important as well for personal reasons as well. After all, your wedding team will by your side more than any other person on your wedding day (other than your husband/wife, of course)! So, hiring a photographer & video team who have not only the style of photography & wedding films you are wanting to cherish forever, but also a fun, outgoing attitude is so important - and that's exactly what you get with me. And not to worry - I will coach every couple through their portrait session, I will help you keep on track with your schedule on your wedding day, and will I be cracking jokes with you all day long. Simply, we will have so much FUN together with everything along the way. And that's the way it should be.
As your photo/video team, it's also about the results you receive at the end of the day. The photographs and films should tell your wedding story. And when you receive your final galleries, you'll be able to relive your wedding day through your photographs and wedding films. After your wedding day is over, you will receive an online gallery full of all of your wedding photographs within 8 weeks! You will also receive a gorgeous, online video gallery! These galleries allows you to store your photos and videos online for safe-keeping and download all of your High Resolution images & videos. You'll also be able to share it all with anyone you'd like with just a click of a button.
I encourage my couples to sit down with a glass of wine the night that their galleries go live and enjoy reliving their wedding day through their images and films!
